Second Night of Class

Tonight was my second night of class. It went even better than the first. I think I'm getting back into the groove of teaching! :) Tonight we talked about having a walk with God. You can't have a successful walk with God if you aren't reading/studying your Bible, praying, staying right with Him, and being filled with the Holy Spirit. That last one is the tricky one to me. It's not something YOU do. It's something that God does in you. Without the first three things, though, number four is not possible. I'll be the first to admit that I have a lot of work to do on my walk with God. I don't think you ever perfect it, just get closer and closer to Him. There are many Godly Christians of the past (you may know of some present) that obviously walked with God. It is the only way to explain the great things that they accomplished for Him. So...how's your walk with God?

Wow sounds like a powerful lesson...I am feeling I should start back reading that book soon:) I have thought about it often too...being filled with the Holy Spirit does seem a little difficult, and I believe we would see so much more going on for God in our world today if more of us would strive to be filled with the Spirit, but too often we (ok, I mean me...but surely I am not the only one:) are complacent and content in our Christian life, and the 10 min of routine walk with God we can fit in. Since being here in SPain I have started jotting down thoughts from my Bible reading and it not only gives me something to look back on and see how God is working but it also keeps me reading until God speaks to me. please keep posting summaries of the classes. It is a blessing
